Forensic Evaluation

Dr. Hastings has extensive experience conducting forensic psychological evaluations of individuals involved in the criminal justice system.  He is available to conduct evaluations related to:

All evaluations are conducted in manner consistent with the APA Ethical Principles of Psychologists and the Speciality Guidelines for Forensic Psychology.  Most evaluations will involve a review of available records, an in-depth clinical interview, psychological testing, and collateral interviews with other individuals (as appropriate/needed).  Dr. Hastings has a reputation as an independent and unbiased evaluator and as such, a favorable finding or outcome can never be guaranteed.  In cases where his evaluation is helpful, he is always willing to provide expert testimony concerning his conclusions.
 
Dr. Hastings does not do family law-related evaluations such as parenting capacity, child custody or general psychological evaluations for use in these types of proceedings.  He also does not do many civil forensic evaluations such as personal injury, harassment/discrimination, workplace disability or fitness for duty/return to work.
